Professional Experience
Lorna Scharlacken works with individuals, trust companies and financial institutions on estate planning and probate and trust administration matters, with a focus on working with high net worth individuals and families. Her work with complex estate planning issues includes: establishing revocable living trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, special needs trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, qualified domestic trusts, charitable remainder/lead trusts, grantor retained interest trusts/qualified personal residence trusts, and private family foundations.

Lorna is also experienced in complex commercial transactions ranging from private equity and venture capital deals to mergers, acquisitions, and initial and secondary stock offerings. She has represented hedge fund and private equity fund clients in a multitude of ventures, from initial conception to angel and mezzanine financing and through initial public offerings and exit strategies. Clients have included public and private companies across a broad range of industries from biopharmaceuticals to private investment management companies.
