1L Diversity Scholarship Program
HSE is proud to offer the Diversity Scholarship Program, which has been in place since 2005. The Firm awards two 1L Law students with a $7,500 scholarship to be applied to their second year’s tuition along with a paid Summer Associate position in the Firm’s Rochester or Buffalo, NY offices. The scholarship is awarded annually to two first-year students based on factors that indicate promise for a successful career in the legal profession, such as their professional accomplishments, academic achievement, and community involvement.
To be eligible for the Diversity Scholarship, applicants must be full-time currently enrolled 1L law students who are in good standing at an accredited law school. First-year students who are members of populations historically underrepresented in the legal profession are encouraged to apply.
The Diversity Scholarship applications for 2023 must be received by Harter Secrest and Emery LLP on or before Monday, January 23, 2023.
