Effective Use of External Investigators and Adjudicators in the Title IX Grievance Process

November 12, 2020
10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join us to discuss the impact of two key changes outlined in the new Title IX regulations (effective August 14, 2020): The prohibition of the “single investigator model” to investigate and resolve formal complaints subject to the Title IX regulations and the requirement that institutions conduct live Title IX hearings. These changes represent an enormous shift for institutions without on-campus options to proceed in accordance with law.

In this webinar, Harter Secrest & Emery LLP attorneys Terri Conroy and Julia Green and Hamilton College's Director of Community Standards, Catherine Berryman, will discuss these regulatory changes and recommend how higher education institutions can best utilize external professionals to facilitate thorough, fair, and impartial investigations and adjudications.
