How to Turn a Performance Discussion into a Valuable Coaching Opportunity

Empowering Ideas Webinar Series

February 23, 2021
Noon - 12:45 EST

Performance management is challenging in any environment, but even more so when many of us continue to work remotely. How do we create meaningful opportunities for employee growth, and how do we keep our people motivated and engaged, particularly when we have constructive feedback to share?

By utilizing effective coaching techniques to create a collaborative working relationship, you can transform what might be a challenging feedback session or performance evaluation meeting into a positive encounter, increasing the likelihood that there will be receptivity to the feedback, buy-in, and a commitment to improve.

In this practical 45-minute session, Elizabeth Hofmeister, founder of B.side Coaching & Consulting LLC, will teach attendees how to apply proven coaching techniques, asking the right questions to:

  1. Help the employee identify and understand where development opportunities exist;
  2. Uncover the cause of a performance issue;
  3. Guide the employee toward goal-setting; and
  4. Facilitate a commitment to address areas for development.
