On January 20, 2021, the New York State Department of Labor issued supplemental guidance on the application of COVID-19 sick leave, which was first enacted on March 18, 2020. The legislation provides employees with paid and unpaid sick leave when faced with a mandatory or precautionary order of quarantine or isolation.
