Harter Secrest & Emery is pleased to present its 2024 Specialty CLE Summit, an event designed to provide you, our in-house counsel clients and friends, with continuing legal education credits that can often be more challenging to obtain— Cybersecurity; Ethics; and Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias.

Please join us on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm for presentations approved for New York State CLE credit and that are appropriate for both newly admitted and experienced attorneys. Few areas of the law have been as dynamic recently as privacy and data security regulation. Close on their heels, however, comes AI, with developing and overlapping concerns that can complicate an organization’s compliance efforts. Harter Secrest & Emery partner F. During the second half of the presentation, Peter and Tracie will provide an overview and discussion of the ethical rules and issues concerning confidentiality and technology.

DEI and the Evolving Legal Landscape: Considerations for Firms and Law Departments

Attorneys Sheldon K. Smith, Anna S.M. McCarthy and Yomaris Sanchez-Orona will provide an overview of recent Supreme Court cases and lawsuits involving diversity initiatives, as well as a discussion of DEI initiative purposes, considerations and best practices as it relates to a law firm or law department setting.
