Grants provide critical funding for colleges and universities. But, as the saying goes, there is no such thing as free money. Every grant presents its own risks. Tim Ball, Executive Vice President at The Bonadio Group, and leader of its Strategic Advisory and Forensic Support Divisions, and Brian Feldman, Partner at Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, and Chair of its Government and Internal Investigations Practice Group, have advised colleges and universities on handling grant-related risks, from private and public funding sources. This presentation will highlight the pitfalls of grant management, review the considerations in properly managing grants to mitigate risks, and address hot topics, including CARES Act grants.
