Emily R.L. Cohen, a senior associate in our Corporate practice group, was featured in an April 16, 2020, Buffalo Business First article titled, "One Buffalo Banker's Reaction to PPP Running Out." In the article, Emily reminded people to be vigilant about the details of the program. She stated, "If you need that money for working capital needs, such as accounts receivable or paying vendors, you really should be looking to another program for funding. If you're looking to use the PPP for something other than payroll costs, you should be talking to a lender, accountant or lawyer before doing so. You risk having to pay the loan back in its entirety or even paying additional fees."
