Facial Tech Moratorium Spotlights Children’s Privacy Importance

F. Paul Greene, partner and chair of our Privacy and Data Security practice, was interviewed by Jake Holland of Bloomberg Law for his article titled, “Facial Tech Moratorium Spotlights Children’s Privacy Importance.” The article discusses the New York law signed by Governor Cuomo on December 22, 2020, that places a moratorium on public and private schools purchasing and using biometric identifying technology until at least July 1, 2022. Paul provides insight on this growing trend of restrictions on biometric technology.
