Harter Secrest & Emery LLP Announces New General Counsel Services Practice

The Daily Record recently reported on HSE’s launch of a General Counsel Services practice led by former top lawyers at supermarket chain Wegmans, Stephen R. Van Arsdale, and workforce solutions company Aleron Group, Mark J. Stuhlmiller, who recently joined the firm, and Edward J. Pelta, counsel at Harter Secrest & Emery, who was general counsel at Gleason Corp. and Alstom Signaling Inc.

“We understand that many organizations do not have the resources for a fully staffed legal team, and the challenges that in-house counsel face without sufficient internal support,” said Craig S. Wittlin, managing partner at Harter Secrest & Emery, who currently serves as external general counsel for a leading northeastern grocery chain. “Collectively, our general counsel services team members have experience managing legal departments, orchestrating multidisciplinary teams of lawyers, and serving as the primary counsel to privately-held, publicly-traded, family-run, middle-market and non-profit organizations,” he said.
