HSE Labor and Employment law partner, Luke P. Wright, provided insight on the potential court challenges to the vaccine mandate and the hardships the regulations may cause some employers if implemented. In the Rochester Business Journal article titled, “Federal COVID vaccination regulations likely to be challenged,” Luke stated that it wouldn’t surprise him if there are lawsuits filed to seek an injunction from the enforcement of these rules. But he warned that in the meantime, companies should move forward with implementing the regulations. He added, “One of the challenging aspects is the timing both from a work and human resources standpoint. Often the end of year and the holiday season is an exceptionally busy time, to add on compliance with a new requirement like this running through the holiday season, I think will be difficult for employers.”
