Pandemic Litigation is on the Horizon

Daniel J. Altieri, a senior associate in our Litigation practice, was featured in a recent article by Buffalo Business First titled, “Pandemic Litigation is on the Horizon.” In the interview, Dan is asked what litigation he sees on the post-coronavirus horizon. He states, “The effects of COVID-19 on the world, and particularly in litigation, are something that we’re going to be feeling for quite some time.” Dan explained that litigation confronting businesses was on the back burner during the pandemic’s early stages, but he said the floodgates will soon be wide open. Among the general items that he forecasts will be battled in court are wrongful termination claims, negligence claims that focus on lax COVID-19 safety practices and breach of contract issues.
