Cannabis Licensing: Cannabinoid Hemp Retailer License

Over the next several weeks, we will take a deeper dive into each license available under New York’s Cannabis Law.  New York is already accepting applications for our first license, the Cannabinoid Hemp Retailer License.

Rights Granted: Allows the licensee to sell cannabinoid hemp, in final form, to consumers.

Cannabinoid hemp includes any hemp, or any product processed or derived from hemp, that has a concentration of THC of no more than 0.3%.

Term of License: One year.

License Fee: $300 per retail location.

Application: The application is currently available through the New York Business Express online portal.

The application requires information about the applicant (e.g., name, EIN, location), the owners of the applicant (e.g., address, social security number) and the applicant’s products and suppliers.
