New York State Releases Updated COVID-19 Isolation and Quarantine Guidance

On May 31, 2022, the New York State Department of Health released updated COVID-19 quarantine and isolation guidance, available here. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its guidance on May 24, 2022, which included the recommendation of a second booster for individuals 50 years of age or older at least four months after their first booster shot. The newest New York State guidance aligns with the CDC guidance and includes exceptions for schools and childcare settings. New York State employers should review their COVID-19 policies and procedures to make sure they reflect the most up-to-date guidance.
