Organizational Accounts for H-1B Lottery Registration
USCIS will launch a new organizational account system for H-1B lottery registrations which for the first time features an online filing option of the H-1B petition for lottery winners. The system will allow multiple people within an organization and their legal representatives to collaborate on H-1B lottery registrations. Existing user accounts may be upgraded, and new organizational accounts created, starting on February 28 at noon, Eastern Time, but beneficiary information cannot be entered until March 6.
USCIS will issue further instructions and details on the new system in the coming weeks. It is offering a free webinar on February 21, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM ET – register here.
Next Steps for Employers
U.S. employers should save the above dates, determine who will be the administrator(s) for their USCIS online registration account(s) and work closely with their immigration counsel to carefully plan the registration and paper or online filing process in advance. Additional information on the new USCIS H-1B filing fees and revised beneficiary selection process for this year’s lottery will be forthcoming.
