Walker Kristian 2020 1763 HR 8X10Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, announced that Kristian D. Walker, has joined the firm as an associate in the Government and Internal Investigations practice.

At Harter Secrest & Emery, Walker represents organizations and individuals in a range of civil, regulatory, and criminal investigations, including civil fraud matters arising under state and federal False Claims Acts. She has experience handling criminal defense proceedings, working on internal investigations, and conducting litigation. Before joining HSE, Walker served as an honors intern with the FBI in Washington D.C., where she assisted the legal and criminal investigations departments in conducting internal investigations. In addition, she has worked for private clients, whom she defended and counseled clients in criminal proceedings, and served as a legal intern at a national health care system and insurer where she analyzed health care legal issues.

She earned her law degree, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law, along with a master’s degree in forensic science from Syracuse University’s Forensic & National Security Sciences Institute, and her B.S. from Cornell University.
