Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, announced that Ninteretse Jean Pierre (JP) has joined the firm as an associate in the Real Estate practice
Jean Pierre counsels real estate developers, borrowers, lenders, and property owners with commercial real estate transactions and leases. He advises on and assists clients with finance strategies, acquisition documents, AIA construction and design documents, commercial lease negotiations, title work, due diligence review, and property dispositions.

Before joining Harter Secrest & Emery, Jean Pierre was an associate in the affordable housing and real estate practice group at Nixon Peabody LLP, and was a judicial intern at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. He received a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University at Buffalo School of Law and a B.S., summa cum laude, from Buffalo State College. Jean Pierre is the former Vice President of Programs for the Rochester Black Bar Association and is fluent in Kirundi, French, Swahili and Kinyarwanda.
