Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, is pleased to announce that three attorneys have been promoted to Senior Associate.

Michael Roche practices in the firm’s Corporate practice group. He counsels clients on day-to-day corporate matters including negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts, facilitating mergers and acquisitions and commercial financing, and advising on matters relating to formation, operation, and dissolution. Roche also represents clients in regulated industries on matters relating to government compliance including the export of products, privacy and data security, product labeling standards, and state and federal alcohol licensing requirements. He received his B.A./B.S. from American University, his M.B.A. from the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, and his J.D. from Cornell University Law School. 

Rayza Santiago is a member of the firm’s Health Care practice group. She has a multi-faceted practice that includes nonprofit law, higher education, health care, and corporate law. Her experience includes advising clients on issues relating to formation, governance, conflicts of interest, day-to-day operations, mergers, acquisitions, dissolutions, and strategic alliances.  Santiago received her B.A., cum laude, from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Greg Scholand is a member of the firm’s Environmental, Land Use and Zoning practice group where he advises businesses, landowners, developers, municipalities, and public authorities on a wide variety of land use, zoning, and environmental matters. His experience includes assisting clients with regulatory compliance, municipal approvals, zoning issues, allocation of liability in asset and equity transactions involving real property interests, and permitting for industrial, commercial, residential, and mixed-use construction and development projects. Scholand received his B.A. from Cornell University and his J.D., summa cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
