Albany, New York, April 28, 2025– Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, is pleased to announce that Associate Caitlin A. Anderson has been named to the City & State 2025 Who’s Who in Government Relations List.
The City & State Who’s Who in Government Relations list “features the key people … who are shaping policies that affect New Yorkers.” This is Anderson’s second year being featured on the list that has been published since 2023.
Anderson advises clients on a range of government affairs issues, including legislative strategy and process. As a member of the Harter Secrest & Emery Government Affairs practice, she focuses on legislative and regulatory advocacy. Anderson’s client representation before the New York State government regularly includes communicating client positions to members of the Legislature, state agencies, and the Governor’s office. She monitors, analyzes, and reports on the status of pending legislation, keeping clients up to date on a minute-by-minute basis of new developments in Albany. Additionally, she regularly drafts legislation on behalf of clients and helps move those bills through the legislative life cycle in the State Capitol. Anderson also assists clients with procurement strategies, helping clients access government funding through a myriad of available channels.
Passionate about contributing to the community beyond her legal practice, Anderson serves on the Board of Directors for Empire Justice Center and Friends of the Dyken Pond Center Ltd. In addition to being named to the City & State Who’s Who in Government Relations list, Anderson was also named to the publication’s 2024 “40 Under 40” list and has been recognized on the Upstate New York Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.
Anderson earned a J.D., summa cum laude, from the William & Mary School of Law and a B.S., summa cum laude, from Elmira College.
Members of the Harter Secrest & Emery Government Affairs practice advocate for the introduction of bills, tracks the progress of proposed legislation and regulations, and lobbies to secure or modify legislation and administrative action on behalf of clients.
