Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, announced that Edward M. Stone has joined the firm as a senior associate in the Private Equity and Venture Capital practice.
Stone represents clients in all aspects of corporate transactions and equity investments, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, joint venture, and general corporate governance matters. He has advised private equity funds, venture capital investors, operating companies and entrepreneurs through the myriad detailed aspects of a transaction, from all stages of the mergers and acquisitions process to the mechanisms available to fund a company’s business ventures. His experience spans a variety of industries, including aerospace, construction logistics, financial technology, fitness, food packaging, healthcare, infrastructure, investment management, and transportation. He was most recently an associate in the Corporate & Securities department at Dechert LLP in New York City.
Stone is a cum laude graduate of Harvard University, where he majored in History. He earned his law degree from the University of California Los Angeles School of Law.
