Clarkson is a member of the firm’s Tax and Trusts & Estates practice groups. She represents individuals and business owners in a variety of federal and state tax, business succession and wealth transfer and estate planning matters. She works with heads of privately-held business and private equity fund managers in addressing the full range of federal and state implications that relate to corporate formation, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, tax-free spin-offs, and debt restructurings. She also counsels individuals, families, and owners of closely-held businesses on estate planning strategies including the transition of their business to the next generation in a tax-efficient manner.

Clarkson is active in several professional and community organizations, including the American Red Cross Greater Rochester Chapter, Allendale Columbia School, and the Princeton Club of Rochester. She was selected as a 2019 Forty Under 40 honoree by the Rochester Business Journal and honored for her accomplishment, community service, and commitment to the legal profession by The Daily Record with the 2018 Excellence in Law “Up and Coming” Attorney award and selected to the Upstate New York Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for the past two years. Clarkson is a graduate of Princeton University and The College of William and Mary School of Law.

Collins is a member of the Corporate practice group where he advises family-owned and other private businesses in a wide variety of legal matters relating to the formation, operation, ownership, transfer, and termination of business entities. He has extensive experience representing clients across various industries with a range of business combination transactions including mergers, equity and asset-based acquisitions and divestitures, capital raising transactions, investment transactions, and joint venture arrangements.

Collins volunteers often, supporting several community organizations, including the Veterans Outreach Center, and the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester. He is also involved with the Monroe County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Cornell Football Association. He is a graduate of Cornell University and a former Division I collegiate football player who earned his law degree, summa cum laude, from New England School of Law. In addition, Collins was selected for inclusion on the Upstate New York Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2017-2019.
