Brill is a member of the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice group. He works with clients on welfare benefits plan design and documentation, employee communications, wellness programs, and on a wide range of other welfare plan issues, including compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, HIPAA, GINA, and Mental Health Parity. Brill joined Harter Secrest & Emery in 2009 and, since 2012, has been a contributing author to the Employee Benefits Institute of America manual on Self-Insured Health Plans.
A magna cum laude graduate of both the University of Notre Dame and Notre Dame Law School, Brill was selected for inclusion on the 2018 Upstate New York Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers®.
A member of Harter Secrest & Emery’s Labor and Employment practice, Wright counsels clients on a range of labor and employment issues, including management of family and medical leave and accommodation issues, navigation of difficult separations and transitions, and development of employment policies and programs that ensure compliance with applicable laws and avoid potential issues down the road. He also represents employers in agency charges as well as in federal and state labor and employment litigation, including cases involving allegations of discrimination or harassment, wage and hour law compliance, non-competition agreements, family and medical leave issues, and the National Labor Relations Act. Wright is a regular speaker, presenter, and author on topics related to recent developments in employment law.
Wright was a recipient of the “Up and Coming Attorneys” Award from The Daily Record in 2016 and was previously named to the Upstate New York Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers®. He is a graduate of Cornell University and received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law.
