Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, is pleased to announce the firm was recognized in the City & State 2020 New York State’s Top 50 Lobbyist list.
The New York State Top 50 Lobbyists list recognizes the 50 lobbying firms with the highest compensation and influence in the state in 2019, as reported to the state Joint Commission on Public Ethics. City & State, a media organization dedicated to covering New York’s local and state politics and policy, produced the list based on what the state defines as lobbying compensation – excluding income for other services, such as communications and campaign consulting.
“Our practice has always been focused on providing a personalized client experience that helps our clients navigate New York State government to allow for their needs to be addressed. We are pleased that our model of client-focused service has been so successful and has led to our inclusion on this list,” said Amy J. Kellogg, partner and leader of Harter Secrest & Emery’s Government Affairs practice group. “We have, and will continue to, focus on our strategic growth in a way that keeps our clients, and their needs, at the forefront of our efforts as we think this is what truly makes us a top lobbyist.”
The firm’s Government Affairs team advocates for the introduction of bills, tracks the progress of proposed legislation and regulations, and lobbies to secure or modify legislation and administrative action on behalf of clients. In addition, they advise on the availability of, and access to, a variety of government funding mechanisms and other programs, and work with clients to ensure the strictest compliance with all applicable laws.
