Harter Secrest & Emery Named to New York State’s Top 60 Lobbyists List

Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, is pleased to announce the firm was recognized in the City & State New York State’s Top 60 Lobbyist list again this year.

The 2022 New York State Top 60 Lobbyists list is made up of the 60 lobbying firms with the highest compensation and influence in the state in 2021, as reported to the state Joint Commission on Public Ethics. City & State, a media organization dedicated to covering New York’s local and state politics and policy, produced the list based on what the state defines as lobbying compensation – excluding income for other services, such as communications and campaign consulting.

“We are proud to be recognized among the Top 60 lobbyists firms in New York State,” said Amy J. Kellogg, partner and leader of Harter Secrest & Emery’s Government Affairs practice group. “A big thanks to our clients for trusting us to help them navigate the legislative process and achieve their legislative priorities.  Without them, we would not be able to obtain this distinction for the third year in a row.”

The firm’s Government Affairs team advocates for the introduction of bills, tracks the progress of proposed legislation and regulations, and lobbies to secure or modify legislation and administrative action on behalf of clients. In addition, they advise on the availability of, and access to, a variety of government funding mechanisms and other programs, and work with clients to ensure the strictest compliance with all applicable laws.
