Rochester, New York, January 7, 2025 – Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, is pleased to announce new leadership for the firm’s Finance Department. Kristie Ball, CPA, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer. She replaces Lisa Steffen who recently retired after a 17-year tenure with the firm. Robert A. Riggio, CPA, has been promoted to Director of Finance and Controller, and Erica L. Clicquennoi, CPA, has joined the firm as Assistant Controller.
Most recently Director of Finance, Ball joined Harter Secrest & Emery in 2013. As Chief Financial Officer, she is responsible for providing strategic management of the accounting and finance functions of the firm while ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting and analysis, cash flow analysis, and compliance with standard accounting practices. A Certified Public Accountant, Ball received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University
Riggio joined Harter Secrest & Emery as Controller in 2022. As Director of Finance and Controller, he is responsible for the management of the accounting, billing, and new matter intake of the firm and for providing financial analysis. A Certified Public Accountant, Riggio earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, summa cum laude, from St. John Fisher University.
Clicquennoi joined the firm in December, after serving in a number of roles at Insero & Company, most recently as Audit Manager. As Harter Secrest & Emery’s Assistant Controller, Clicquennoi works closely with the Director of Finance and Controller to ensure the accounting systems of the firm are effectively managed and preparing general ledger records and reports. A Certified Public Accountant, Clicquennoi earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. John Fisher University.
