Harter Secrest & Emery Receives Diversity Award from WNY Chapter of Women’s Bar Association

Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, was recently presented with the 2017 WNY WBASNY Diversity Award by the Western New York Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York during the association’s annual awards ceremony. Harter Secrest & Emery is the first recipient of the Diversity Award.

The Diversity Award recognizes individuals or organizations who have demonstrated a commitment to promoting full and equal participation in the legal profession through the encouragement and involvement of women, minorities, persons with disabilities, and/or persons of differing sexual orientations and gender identities. The award is given to show gratitude to those individuals and organizations who have effected real change in the legal profession, and to remove barriers that stand in the way of equality.

“We are honored to receive this inaugural award from our local chapter of the Women’s Bar Association,” said John G. Horn, partner in charge of the firm’s Buffalo office. “Very much like the Women’s Bar Association, Harter Secrest & Emery embraces the contributions and voice of every individual. As a firm, we are stronger, make better decisions and better represent our clients when we bring to the table the greatest possible array of perspectives, life stories and talents.”
