Buffalo, New York, October 18, 2024 – Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, is pleased to announce that Agata E. Pijanowski has joined the firm’s Buffalo office as an associate in the Environmental, Land Use and Energy practice group.
Pijanowski advises clients on a wide range of environmental, land use and zoning matters, including environmental and land use litigation, renewable energy projects, environmental due diligence on corporate and real estate transactions, permitting and environmental regulatory compliance, health and safety compliance, New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) matters, Brownfields redevelopment, and municipal law.
Before joining Harter Secrest & Emery, she was an associate with Knauf Shaw, a boutique environmental law firm in Rochester, New York, where she primarily represented clients in environmental litigation. Pijanowski also worked as an assistant project manager at the New York State Energy Research and Development Agency (NYSERDA), where she assisted municipalities with the implementation of clean energy projects, managed contracts, and authored solicitations to secure support for NYSERDA’s community-focused initiatives.
Pijanowski earned a J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law, and an M.P.A., summa cum laude, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Albany.
