Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, is pleased to announce that Jess Alderman has joined the firm as counsel in the Tax and Nonprofit Organizations practices.
Drawing on her background in the natural sciences, non-profits, and academia, Alderman develops creative solutions to complex legal problems for health care and non-profit organization clients. Prior to joining HSE, she served as a legal consultant to various non-profit and governmental organizations, worked at a legal think tank, and is a former law professor who taught at the University at Buffalo, the University of Miami, and Northeastern University, where she served as Director of the Public Health Legal Clinic. She has presented her work at national conferences and published articles in various journals.
Alderman earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Wellesley College, her M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, and her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
