Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, announced that attorneys Robert G. Little, Amanda M. Karpovich and Chloe J. Macdonald have joined the firm as associates in its Buffalo office. Little and Karpovich are members of the firm’s Securities practice group, and Macdonald is a member of the Litigation practice group. Since June, Harter Secrest & Emery has added eight new attorneys to support their growth in Western New York and has recently relocated to a larger space at 50 Fountain Plaza to meet future business needs of the thriving firm.
Little represents public and private clients in a wide range of corporate transactions that include securities offerings, venture capital financings and other private equity investments, and mergers and acquisitions. A native of Western New York, he returns to the region from New York City, where he practiced law most recently at Haynes and Boone, LLP, as well as Kleinberg, Kaplan, Wolff & Cohen, P.C., and Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP. Little is a summa cum laude graduate of Boston University School of Law, and earned a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from Canisius College.
Karpovich graduated summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo Law School in May. She previously served as a summer associate with Harter Secrest & Emery, as well as a law fellow in New York State Surrogate Court under Judge Barbara Howe, and as a legal assistant with the Law Office of Mark J. Frentzel and the Fertig Law Office. Karpovich also was a judicial extern for U.S. Magistrate Judge Leslie G. Foschio in the United States District Court for the Western District of New York and earned a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University at Buffalo.

Macdonald also was a judicial extern for New York State Supreme Court Judge Tracey A. Bannister and earned a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from SUNY Brockport.
