Lauren R. Mendolera Appointed to Erie County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project, Inc. Board of Directors

Mendolera, a senior associate in the firm’s Litigation practice group, has been appointed to the Erie County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project, Inc. (VLP) board of directors for a three-year term.

The staff and volunteers at VLP provide free legal services to low income households and small not-for-profit groups in Western New York. A 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, VLP provides services by utilizing both its staff and a network of volunteers to represent clients. VLP offers a number of limited scope legal service opportunities for clients, helping them overcome obstacles so they can return their focus to supporting their families and keeping them safe. Created in 1983, VLP recruits, trains, and assists attorneys who volunteer to represent the organization’s clients on a pro bono basis.

Mendolera joined Harter Secrest & Emery in 2017, after practicing in New York City. She focuses her practice on insurance and antitrust law litigation. She also has experience with commercial, intellectual property, securities, employment, housing, and criminal litigation matters. A summa cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, Mendolera received her law degree, cum laude, from New York University Law School.
