Lindsey N. Bober and Caitlin Forsyth Kireker Appointed to the Legal Aid Society of Rochester

Rochester, New York, Nov 27, 2023 – Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, announced that Lindsey N. Bober, an associate in the firm’s Labor and Employment practice, and Caitlin Forsyth Kireker, a senior associate in the firm’s Commercial and Intellectual Property Litigation practice, have been appointed to serve on The Legal Aid Society of Rochester’s Board of Directors.

The Legal Aid Society of Rochester is a not-for-profit organization that provides direct civil legal services, including lay advocacy and related human services, to nearly 10,000 adults and children each year who otherwise could not afford them. It is one of the oldest Legal Aid Societies in the country, tracing its origins to the formation of the Rochester’s Women’s Educational and Industrial Union in 1893, which was founded in part by Susan B. Anthony.

Lindsey concentrates her practice on counseling clients in all aspects of labor and employment law, including employment policies, criminal background checks, protected leaves of absences, reasonable accommodations, discipline and termination decisions, contract review, wage and hour issues, and labor relations. Lindsey is a fully trained civil rights investigator and advises institutions of higher education and private employers on investigating complaints of discrimination and harassment, as well as responding to complaints filed with administrative agencies such as the New York State Division of Human Rights and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Lindsey received a J.D. from Georgetown University, cum laude, and a B.S. from Cornell University.

Caitlin represents clients in all phases of litigation in state and federal court at the trial and appellate levels, as well as before arbitration tribunals. She concentrates her practice in the area of civil litigation with a focus on commercial litigation matters, helping resolve business disputes that involve commercial contracts (force majeure, damages and liability limits, confidentiality, licensing, vendors, interference, non-competes, etc.), intellectual property and trade secret claims, class actions, and other business torts. Caitlin also has experience helping clients with government and internal investigations. Caitlin received a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. from Vassar College.
