Michael J. Berchou Named to Wanakah Country Club Board of Directors

Buffalo, New York, December 21, 2023 – Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, a full-service business law firm with offices throughout New York, is pleased to announce Michael J. Berchou has been named to serve on the Board of Directors for Wanakah Country Club. Berchou has been a member since 2017.

Founded 1899 Wanakah Country Club is one of the Premier Private Country Clubs in Western New York located along scenic Lake Erie.

Berchou, a partner in the Litigation and Intellectual Property practices, and a registered patent attorney and electrical engineer, has represented clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in diverse technology areas, including data center cooling, medical devices, vibration sensors/accelerometers, computer storage and network connectivity, live streaming, exhaust gas recirculation systems, ballistic fabrics, and artificial turf.

Berchou is also a board member of Road Less Traveled Productions and Literacy Buffalo Niagara. He has been recognized by Chambers USA for his litigation work, was named to the Legal Elite of Western New York list by Buffalo Business First in 2017 and 2020 and is AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He received his B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the University at Buffalo and his J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law.
