Sarah A. Pellerin Appointed to Upstate New York Chapter of the National Kidney Foundation Advisory Board

Pellerin, senior associate in the firm’s Real Estate practice, has been appointed to serve on the Advisory Board of the National Kidney Foundation serving Upstate and Western New York.

Chronic kidney disease is the most under-recognized public health crisis in this country.  Currently, one in three Americans over age 20—73 million people—are at risk for kidney disease because of diabetes, high blood pressure or family history. The National Kidney Foundation continues to lead the way in rallying action on this problem by increasing chronic kidney disease awareness, prevention, early detection, advocacy for kidney patients, and support for research to improve treatment and outcomes.

Pellerin assists clients in the drafting and review of commercial real estate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and other agreements relating to real property and real property transactions. She also represents clients involved in obtaining land use approvals during the planning and development of commercial projects, including approvals required under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA).

Pellerin is a summa cum laude graduate of the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, and earned her law degree, cum laude, from Albany Law School.
