Jake focuses his practice in the areas of general business and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, securities, higher education, and nonprofit organizations. He has experience researching and analyzing legal issues across a variety of practice areas, performing due diligence review, drafting memoranda, and legal documents. Jake is also a fully trained civil rights investigator and conducts on-campus sexual misconduct investigations.

Before joining Harter Secrest & Emery as an associate, Jake gained hands-on experience in the corporate, litigation and real estate practice groups as a HSE summer associate.

In addition, Jake served as an Office of Compliance Services Intern at Boston University’s Office of the General Counsel, where he conducted research to identify compliance obligations under Title IV and the Clery Act.
