Ed represents clients in all aspects of corporate transactions and equity investments, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, complex commercial arrangements, and general corporate governance matters. With a focus on efficiently achieving his clients’ business goals, Ed employs a highly organized approach to guiding clients through the many moving pieces of a transaction.
Ed mainly advises private equity funds, venture capital investors, operating companies and entrepreneurs. His experience spans a variety of industries including B2B software and SaaS, energy, financial services, healthcare, health & beauty, infrastructure, logistics, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and transportation. In his practice, Ed often advises businesses with operations and activities around the country and world.
Ed has previously served on the Firm’s Hiring Committee. He also has experience providing pro bono legal services for immigration matters and not-for-profit tax exemption matters.
Prior to joining Harter Secrest & Emery, Ed worked with Dechert LLP in New York City and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in Pittsburgh. Ed began his career practicing in the New York City office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
