- Prosecution of copyright applications before the United States Copyright Office
- Appeals of decisions on the registerability of trademarks before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office and United States District Courts
- Trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board
- Enforcement of intellectual property rights
Kim is a well-seasoned litigator with experience prosecuting, defending, mediating, arbitrating, and litigating a wide variety of claims, including:
- Trademark infringement
- Trademark registration cancellation
- Trade dress infringement
- Copyright infringement
- False advertising
- Trade disparagement
- Breach of contracts and licenses
- Unfair competition
- Violations of trade secrets
- Deceptive and unfair business and trade practices
Kim also regularly counsels clients on intellectual property-related internet, domain name, and social media issues, including the prosecution and defense of cases under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy for the cancellation or transfer of domain names.
As Chair of the HSE Inclusion & Equity Committee, Kim leads the Firm’s commitment to achieving goals of meaningful representation of diverse individuals throughout the Firm, and implementing comprehensive and targeted education programs.
