Matthew A. Eldred

Senior Associate

Matt is a corporate transactional attorney primarily assisting private equity and strategic firms with mergers and acquisitions in the middle market. He serves as a trusted advisor to a variety of public and private corporations, professional entities, and small and mid-sized businesses, leading a broad range of general corporate and transactional matters, including corporate structuring, sales and acquisitions, and trade partner negotiations.

In addition, for several years, Matt has leveraged his extensive transactional experience while representing municipalities, landowners and businesses in all stages of renewable energy development, including negotiating project siting and energy supply agreements in New York’s burgeoning solar energy industry as well as in other states. Drawing on his broad experience, he provides his clients with fulsome understanding necessary to make educated, confident decisions, balancing the risks and values presented by these unique opportunities carrying lasting effects.

Before attending law school, Matt was a land surveyor at a regional engineering firm where he planned and directed teams in completing intricate projects for state, national and multi-national agencies and organizations, ranging from powerline transmission upgrade studies and infrastructure maintenance to theatrical production modeling and archaeological preservation.
