F. Paul Greene Shares Insights on New York Privacy Act in New York Law Journal Article

In his New York Law Journal article, “New York Privacy Act Makes Progress, but Hurdles Remain,” F. Paul Greene, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, partner and chair of our Privacy and Data Security practice, describes the state-level consumer data protection landscape and recent activity in New York State. Paul explains that the New York Privacy Act (NYPA) was not voted on in the 2021 legislative session (mainly due to a high level of activity on other legislation) but the fact that it proceeded through committee marks a significant escalation of data privacy protections and restrictions.
