Jessica helps clients resolve complex intellectual property disputes with a pragmatic and decisive value-added approach. Highly regarded for her creative problem solving, Jessica has represented inventors, manufacturers, and technology companies on a wide range of claims relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

In addition to her intellectual property litigation work, Jessica represents companies and individuals in state and federal commercial litigation at the trial and appellate levels, including matters relating to non-disclosure agreements, unfair competition, and other business torts.

Within HSE, Jessica is a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee and a representative on the firm’s Associates’ Committee. Jessica also serves as the firm’s Liaison to the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Represented a global provider of resilient positioning, navigation, and timing solutions in a case alleging misappropriation of trade secrets, trademark infringement, and other business torts in the Northern District of Texas. Successfully defended against a preliminary injunction and ultimately resolved the case through a favorable settlement.
  • Represented an apparel and fashion distribution company in a case involving copyright infringement, violation of right of publicity, and other business torts. Negotiated a favorable settlement.
  • Served on the trial team for a telecommunications technology company plaintiff in a case alleging misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of a non-disclosure agreement, fraud, and joint inventorship of a patent. Case settled after completion of the first week of jury trial in the Eastern District of Texas.
  • Represented an inventor in a case alleging infringement of a design patent, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of a non-disclosure agreement, and other business torts. Negotiated a favorable settlement.
